Cornerstone
Core Values
Christ-Centered...
to begin with, means placing your hope and trust in Jesus Christ as your only Saviour and surrendering your life to His Lordship
We desire to be a church where Jesus Christ is the center and the Cornerstone, and where people are devoted to worshiping and following Him (Ephesians 2:20). We truly want to be Light & Salt (Matthew 5:13-16).
Loving & serving others
We want to be known as a loving community because Christ first loved us.
We want to demonstrate this love by serving others and also through our generosity (Colossians 3:14; 1 Peter 4:8; 2 Corinthians 9).
As a result of our common union with Jesus, we share our time, possessions and lives within our community. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we intentionally seek to be relationally-connected. Our aim is not just to get along with each other but to love each other deeply as the family of God (Matthew 12:46-50).
As Jesus said: “All people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35; John 17:20-23).
Disciple-makers
As a church we want to love the City of Stuttgart by living out the Gospel in tangible ways.
All of us have been called to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). So we desire that each person at Cornerstone is equipped to serve.
Jesus left us with the task of sharing the Gospel regularly with our family, neighbors, friends and coworkers. We are not called to just be recipients but to be servants.
We have all been given a gift by the Holy Spirit to be used for God’s glory and to build each other up (1 Corinthians 12). So our aim is for each believer to become more like Jesus and to develop the ability to serve others and to make disciples of all peoples and nations.
Furthermore, we want to be involved in Global Missions by partnering with missionaries and missions’ projects around the world
